If any of you have played paintball, you will know what I am saying. Paintball is one of the best games I have ever played, bar none. Annywho, below is a list of links to sections describing paintball, how its played, etc. Hopefully ill get some digital pictures that I can post up here of paintball being played, but until then you'll have to visit one of my links to find pictures of the game being played.
No it really doesn't, you'll find if your playing on a organized field, the owners enforce strict velocity rules. Velocity is how fast the paintball is going through the air. At most walk-on fields the max velocity is around 270, to 280 FPS, or feet per second. At 270 fps getting hit can be described as a light snap from a rubber band. And usually your having to much fun to notice :)
Paintball is a sport were the players take CO2 or compressed air powered paint markers and shoot .68 cal. paint-pellets at each other. Paintball is played all over the US and in many other countries.
The standard format for playing is usually CTF, or capture the flag. In CTF players attempt to A. take the enemies flag back to their flag therefore "capping" it and winning, or B. eliminating all other members of the opposing team by marking them with the paint-pellets. Another popular play style is Center flag. in center flag you have to take the flag that is in the center of the field then hang it on the other teams flag station. The last style Im gonna cover is Attack and Defend. One team stays is a designated "base" area, and the other team has to touch the flag station in that area to win, or eliminate all the other players
Why is it so great?
Because it is basically a childhood game of capture the flag for adults, and you get to shoot people :P
